The Aurora Burealis

Watching Northern lights are like labour pain. A mesmerising sight which when caught, all the biting cold, sleeplessness and challenging weather is long forgotten. Not everyone gets a chance to witness this charisma, it’s one of those things that people dream to see in a lifetime, and I’m so glad we did. I still remember that one instance when I literally cried because I couldn’t tolerate the sub-zero temperature, when my fingers and toes were frost bitten. But when I contemplate about that now, all was well worth it. The stay at Ola’s home just underlines the fact that one thing you want in a Winter arctic adventure is a warm home to return to, and of course some Reindeer meat. The silky swirling light chased us (rather than us chasing the lights) for more than 3 days, think it was a lucky week for us. This Lapland adventure indeed was an uplifting experience in every way, agree or not?
